SIM cards

Last updated 1 year ago

Over time, SIM cards had to become smaller as mobile phones evolved into smartphones and got slimmer by the week. The available space was used to pack the smartphones with more features, which determined manufacturers to reduce the size of the SIM cards to keep up with the continuous size reduction of the devices.

The SIMbase SIM card can accommodate different sizes of SIMs required by various IoT devices and routers. As a multi-size SIM card, it can hold all the sizes in one card, thereby providing users with the flexibility of using whichever size they require.

Our SIMs include these sizes:

Name
Size (W x L x H) (mm)
Size (W x L x H) (inch)

Full-size (1FF)

53.98 x 85.6 x 0.76mm

2.13 x 3.37 x 0.03inch

Mini-SIM (2FF)

15 x 25 x 0.76mm

0.59 x 0.98 x 0.03inch

Macro-SIM (3FF)

12 x 15 x 0.76mm

0.47 x 0.59 x 0.03inch

Nano-SIM (4FF)

8.8 x 12.3 x 0.67mm

0.35 x 0.48 x 0.026inch

Besides that, some customers require an Embedded (MFF2) SIM card. These are available upon request. The MFF2 cards are embedded during manufacturing and can be a good choice for IoT device makers. Newer IoT devices also use these embedded SIM cards because they have a smaller footprint and are more secure since they cannot be removed.

If you wish to use Embedded (MFF2) SIM cards, please reach out to our team at .
