Compatibility Check

Simbase SIM cards are compatible with any device that has a SIM slot. However, different regions (Americas, Europe, or Asia) use different frequencies. So make sure your device is compatible with your location. The device documentation should include this information and usually, it shows the region directly.

Another thing you can check is the cellular network technologies the device supports. Certain devices only support a single network technology, like 2G / GSM. Check if the network technology is supported in the region you want to use the device. Use our coverage page to see if the country provides the network connection you need. Your device will not connect if it tries to establish a 2G connection in an area that switched off the 2G network entirely.

This can happen with low-cost GPS trackers on 2G in the United States, Canada, or Australia, for instance. These countries simply don’t support such technology anymore.
